I build the systems
that let small teams run big programs.

I’m a business transformation leader who’s spent my career walking into situations without a playbook and building one. CX, operations, CRM, AI-enabled process automation, whatever the mess requires. I’d rather be the person figuring it out than the person waiting for instructions. Looking for what’s next: full-time, contract, remote, or in person.

About

The short version: I’m an operator who builds. I’ve done it inside companies and on my own, and I hold both to the same standard.

Most recently, that meant founding the customer experience function at Midwest Heritage Bank, a $785M institution, while it absorbed a merger and converted its core systems at the same time. I built the service standard, then built the training ecosystem that carried it to 170+ people across 13 branches, because a standard nobody’s trained on is just a poster on a wall.

Before that, I was Chief Operating Officer at Apprenticeship America, where a 13-person team took a statewide workforce platform from zero to 18,000 high school students in a year. I built the CRM architecture, the SOPs, the automated cadences, and the dashboards underneath all of it, plus the milestone framework the company used with investors.

Earlier, I ran IASourceLink, Iowa’s statewide business resource platform, mostly as a team of one for more than five years: content, the state-mandated licensing database, CRM and reporting, events, and a partner network of 400+ organizations spanning every level of government. When you’re the only person, you automate or you drown. That’s where most of what I know about AI came from, six years before it was a line on everyone’s resume.

These days that same instinct shows up nights and weekends, building software. Right now that’s Custavox, a CX intelligence platform for community banks, plus tools for founders and job seekers. I build because it’s the fastest way to stay honest about what I’m recommending to other people. See them on the projects page.

How I work

Five principles and four frameworks, each one applied in the case studies.
